On September 7th, much like clockwork, Apple will release its newest iPhone 14 series in global markets. This series is anticipated to contain four variants, including the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in addition to the two standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max versions. Apart from a few details, such as the new 48MP camera system on the Pro model, the A16 Bionic chip, and the new pill-shaped cutout on the Pro models for the selfie camera/sensor suite, not much is known about the iPhone 14 range this time. Apple is only likely to deploy this new CPU in their Pro series in order to control costs; the regular model will still be run by the A15 Bionic. Up next are iOS 16 and a new vapour chamber cooling mechanism, as well as Always-On displays. This is unprecedented for Apple, but the company intends to maintain the same cost as the iPhone 13 series.
